Thanks for having me !

Thanks for having me in the chapter. I'm in Gibsonia, PA (15 mi. n of pgh). I'm building a '47 1/2 P/U rod. Been at it seriously for about 3 years, and not so seriously since 1999. I started a thread of the build in the '47 and older forum ('47 ford 1/2t project - How to do it the hard way! [or something close to that] and also posted the build at www.computerliterates.com/47ford

Sorry to all your purists but it has a GM drive train, 427+0.060, Muncie M20 and 69 GTO 4.11 Rear. But all the rest is Ford and only Ford. Incl. the drive shaft!

Look for to hearing from any oldies in Western PA, as well as just a hello from everyone else.

Thanks again

Glad to have you John. When you get around to it post some pics of your ride, I'm sure some of the members would like to see it.

Welcome to the chapter, John. I'm out in the general vicinity, probably about 60 miles or so east of you though. There's a few guys out that way that pay a visit here though. I'll have to check out that website later.

Howdy John and welcome to the chapter. Nice project. :) Oh man I can think of some fun places for a road test. Let's see. How about Bakerstown Road or 910 ? Saxonburg Boulevard from Culmerville to Ivywood would be a blast too. Housing developments have killed some of the good test tracks though. Middle Road and 228 from Rt 8 to Cranberry used to be fun to drive.

I'm in Tarentum. 10 mebbe 12 miles from you.

Redcat.. Probably use Grubbs Rd. from 910 to Giels Grarage doors. Since they pulled all the northern township police together, I don't know them all anymore. (The old Richland guys would say, get out of the vehicle.. I'm driving it back, and don't turn the lights on in the patrol car when you follow me!:D )

Oh man Grubbs Rd would be fun. I haven't driven that one in years. I'm an old West Deer kid so I know most of them.
