I was just talking to Robin Stow of Marmon-Herrington. He emailed me that gorgeous picture of the orange F5 and a copy of of the November 1950 Model R5-4 and R6-4 maintenance manual. He said it was cool for me to give a copy of it to anyone that wanted one! Free of Charge! PM me and I'll email you a copy!

Rab - Re-reading this I now see that it's an electronic copy. Thanks for bumping this Morris. So I'll take a copy if you don't mind. Especially if it includes the Parts List with the Maintanance Manual. I'd like to see if I'm right that the transfer case linkage part numbers on your truck are the same as on my trucks. I bet they are since all the "R" series trucks used the same transfer case. I'm missing one of the shift levers for my spare set that I pulled from a bare '53 chassis. Not sure you can attach it to a PM, so I'll do you a PM and give you my email address. Thanks. Stu

I've gotta say to you MH guys that this is a heck of an offer. Rab sent me a copy and it's the whole Maintenance Manual and Parts List. Same as you'd get for $60+ if you bought it on eBay. And whether you have an F-5 or some other model, the info in the Maintenance Manual will apply to about any model. And the transfer case info in the Parts List looks to be the same as in my R32-4 book, so it should apply to the whole "R" series. Stu

Thanks for this thread, and for sending me the manual.

That is wonderful to hear that Marmon Herrington will post some of their old material on their web page. :) When I had looked a year or so ago, there was nothing I could find.

I have a 1968 f 850 with a marmon herrington front end. Is it possible he would have a manual for that year????

If you first find your M-H model number, it’s likely that Chuck Mantiglia of Chuck’s Trucks in CT has your manual and would make you a copy. The link that was posted above seems to no longer be alive, so you might also contact M-H to see if an on-line version is available for your model. And last, our M-H friend Josh Madsen bought a collection of manuals years ago and may be of help. Stu

Correct. I need to go through the box of manuals again. Probably do have some into the 60's ?

I was going to spend a day scanning them all as pdf files for easier sharing but that hasnt happened yet... Never enough time in a day.

I realize this is very old business, but do you still have the electronic M-H manuals available to share? I've got a 1951 F-6 that I'd like to know more about. Thanks! GOM
