2003 5.4 tune up

2003 Expy 5.4 w/160,000 miles runs well. I have owned for past 20,000. I want to do a tune up on it, what all should be done? I am thinking: New spark plugs, new fuel injectors...what else? I pull a 7,000lbs. 27ft. travel trailer with it and it only gets about 6mpg, is this normal? Going to be making a long pull to Orlando from Atlanta in September want everything to be A+.

1 - Plugs
2 - Coils
3 - Injectors

I just did all 3 and (getting parts from random ebay sources) kept cost under $200. They kinda all need to be done at the same time.

Also, get some throttle body cleaner, take the TB off and clean it really well. Mine was gummed up something fierce and would whistle at idle, cleaned it, all better.

you might also need to clean or replace the exhuast gas recirculating valve (Autozone or ebay again)

Here's the plug / injector writeup.

What are you thoughts on the ebay parts?

Can you post some links to these sellers, if you are happy with results.

I was also wondering this. What kind of quality are the parts? I sort of believe you get what you pay for, to an extent.

Well, as for the ebay parts, everything is working as expected so I've got no complaints so far!

Injectors from lucky7autoinjectors

Coils from uneeksupply

both have 99%+ rating. Should be able to find both of them with a search on ebay.

Found them and placed and order with both.

Thanks for the help.
