I already added the fluid it to my reservoir but then i got to looking in my ownders manual and discovered that i am supposed to use MERCON ATF. What do i do??? will it hurt my truck??? should i drain it out??? or go buy MERCON to put it in??? please help...

Your best option is to flush the power steering system and use the proper fluid. Here are some intructions. They are for the 7.3 but since the 6.0 has hydroboost as well it simliar.

Welcome to FTE. As mentioned, flush it out with ATF. The hydroboost doesn't like powersteering fluid.
