Problem with a single turbo like the STS system is you basically don't start building boost until your at around 3k rpm. With a roots type supercharger your making boost off idle so the power is there right away. The STS system looks kinda half assed too IMO. For the trucks you mount it under the bed between the frame rails. That system wouldn't last long if you use it as a truck with mud, dirt and water thrown up there. You'd have to make up some kind of airbox to mount the filter in or cut a hole in the bed for an airbox.

the same reason they are still making 5.0 parts and 351 parts. becuase people still own them!! not everyone is going to drop there vehicle because it has a weak engine! yes i have a weak motor, but u know what. i dont cry and wine about it. the 6.0 is wayyyyyy out. and people are making parts for it still.. i use it and find more uses for it!! thats why. hope htat answers your question.

Ha! The 5.4L engine is manufactured in Ford's "Romeo" plant... do you remember studying William Shakespeare?

Ha! Don't feel bad... I just woke up and on my 2nd cup of coffee. I've been working 3rd shift for the past two months and it's getting to me. I'll be fully functional after my 3rd cup of coffee, I promise! :-missingt

I just sent an email to Kenny Bell to see if they would be willing to develop a supercharger kit for our 5.4L engines... I'll let you know what they say.

302s and 351s have also been out for around 30 years and are extremely popular in more applications than the 5.4l and 6.8l. I guarentee you there are a lot more 6.0l SDs out there than 5.4l SDs and 6.8l SDs. There is a big aftermarket for the 6.0l now but probably won't be 15 years from now. You obviously don't get it. Its about making money. Demand and selling units is what these companies need to justify making a product. Demand and numbers is the key reason why a SC kit is made for the 5.4l F-150 and not the SD.

Probably better off making a setup using a procharger as they also make custom intercooler systems for them as well. Much more adaptable.

Ok, on Monday I received a response from Kenny Bell, which was:

"No we are not going to do anymore of the Trucks."

I still haven't heard anything from Roush so it's not over yet! 8D

OK, this is pretty simple. It isn't a whipple style, but you won't have to do much fabricating and engineering.

First, find someone that will write you a tune for your engine that will support a supercharger.

Second, order this kit from Ford:

http://www.fordracingparts.com/parts...tKeyField=9358

Toss out their tune for the F-150 (and transmission) and install your custom tune along with this kit.

Third, fill up with 93 octane fuel and light up the rear tires. :)

Note that they also have a kit for 2V engines.

I don't know why I keep getting double posts  very annoying.

Whipple Industries makes the supercharger kit for Ford Racing... note that "Whipple" in labeled on the supercharger. Also, Whipple website even states this in their description of the supercharger. The Ford Racing kit does have a lower retail price than the Whipple kit. I have asked Mike at 5 Star Tuning if he would be willing to what you have recommended and he is willing to consider it but warned that it may be expensive.
