new truck

Well i got my first diesel, 2000 f250 with 7.3 and 143k. runs great and i love it. what type of maintenance should i do? it needs oil change i know. should i change fuel filter, antifreeze, transmission fluid, anything else. what oil should i use? it has the boost and tranny temp gauges added on is there anyway to tell if it has been chipped? Lotta questions i know and i appreciate the help very much. This is a great forum.

Welcome to FTE! And congratulations on the new ride. I change all fluids and filters on any used vehicle that I purchase as a general rule. You just never know how the last guy took care of it. That is, unless he kept a good record of it and gave that record to you. Check out the 7.3L forum down in the Diesel section. Those gusy will be able to answer all of your questions.

agreed on the above posters comment on changing all the fluids u can afford to...

its never a bad move to give a used vehicle new fluids to run on...
