dieselsite cpr fuel system
do any of you have the dieselsite cpr fuel system. if so how do like it and does it work for you. Thanks.

Ziggy. has one and it is a very nice system to say the least I have looked it over well when we had his motor out and it has one heck of a dang filter for the system to say the least but it is pricey he got his used.

i have the cpr+ and i love it! it is comparable in price to the itp setup as it contains both the in tank mods and the up front setup with the regulator in one kit. as stated above the fuel filter is sweet and the only difference between the cpr and cpr+ is the fuel filter you mount under the truck the cpr is a 10k mile filter and the cpr+ is a 15k mile filter. i also looked at itp's setup and chose dieselsite's becuse i liked where the regulator was mounted in bob's kit better. its off to the side and not right in the middle so when i had to take the spider out i dont have to unmount the regulator setup. after you get a reg return youll wonder why you didnt get one sooner. if you want tomorrow ill get pics of it in my rig for ya.......

I have the CPR on my truck and like it very much, I didn't go with the plus version as I felt the filter supplied with that kit hangs down way to far, I go off road and was afraid that it would hit something, that filter is huge, for me the standard filter was more than enough. The system definitely quieted the engine down, as mentioned, I like where the pressure regulator is placed, out of the way of engine valley access. A couple of things to be aware of when installing the kit if you get it, 1- when installing the fuel line to the passenger side of the existing fuel filter, Bob provides a plug to plug off one of the original fuel line ports(only one port will be used) be very careful when tightening this plug as it can split the filter housing(ask me how I know) :-banghead this area is very thin and week. 2- all fittings that are sent are only tightened hand tight by Bob, be sure to tighten everything up during the install to save yourself some aggravation. 3- the elbows that go into the dieselsite fuel filter housing use o-rings and are also only hand tight, these can be a source of air getting into the fuel system, and finally, the fuel line that attaches to the fuel tank for supply can also be a problem for air intake into the system, push it on as far as you can and double clamp it like a boat, I did not do this when installing the system and now am seeing air in the clear fuel filter bowl when the tank gets @ half empty, I'll be pulling the tank again to address this very soon. Overall I really like the system, it's amazing how hot the fuel cooler gets and it is very noticeable how much quieter the engine is. Hope this helps, Good luck. Dan |
