Lightin Steering Box

What are the turns "lock to lock" on early lightins? I hope it's less than my 85 F150, cause I'd like to quicken up my steering response now that I've rebuilt the front end and added sway bars.
I'd like to install lightin springs also...part#'s? (to match a 85)

hey matt, the spring code on the lightning is "P4J", if i am wrong, i am sorry, but that is from memory. i installed the front springs on my 95 f150, for about $35 each. the rear springs are about $250 each, so i did not go that route. i ordered them from the dealership, which you can order anywhere. as for steering, i believe the gear box is the same, the only difference is that the lightnings' have a 4x4 pitman arm instead of the stock 1/2 arm. i am going to this, which i haven't yet. remember, this is only what i read, so don't hold me to anything. if any other help is needed, feel free to email me, fordpi@webtv.net
