What have you Done to your truck today

What have or are you gonna do to your truck today. Fix, repair, got mods to do whatever, big or small.

Me as usual will be fixing the big Bronco. Todays episode starts with getting the old trans out of the
corner pulling the trans extension off and hopefully using those bolts to close and seal up the one that
is on the truck so it will hold some fluid and I can drive the truck.
If not then I guess I drive the little one or weather permitting ride the bike
til I can get the extension replaced which as you know involves pulling the
transfer case trans mount and all the other stuff to replace it.
Fun WOW.

Just a drill and an easy-out...don't take long

My old truck is doing just fine but my daily driver 99' B-2500 sprung a oil leak, so I had to find that before exxon/mobile thinks they found a new oil field or tree huggers start picketing my truck. Turned out to be the filter, what a mess it was either leaking for a while or a little does a lot .

Bud don't think that will work at least not without taking the housing off and they are harden bolts.

hey Dave try a reverse set of drill bits and run the drill in reverse! sometimes the will bite and bring it right out! hardened bolts? really?

What have I done with my truck today???? Replaced driver's side wiper blade that was a PITA to do because it has been on there for about 5 years and the plastic clip was all brittle and broke as I was trying to release it from the arm. So after about 5 minutes of persuasion and a few choice words :-X09:-X09 I finally got the darn sting released.

Now I get to do the same with the passenger's side later once it warms up some.

Washed and clay'ed it!

Been gone for awhile.... but I'm Baaaackk

Caught this thread so I figured I'd post up, here's what I've done in the last 2 weeks (besides working my tail off!). Here's some pics: white badges/ovals/grill and blacked out headlights, the heads weren't purchased, but done myself. The very 1st shot is a before photo http://www.f150online.com/forums/mem...ve-my-ford.jpg

Then after that I decided to do this: cleaning out the inside

Looks real good Mitch,
I like the headlights and glad to see you here again

Nice looking truck.... real good job inside.... and I like the blackout you did to the externals.

mitch150 05-15-2009 08:27 PM

Thanks Dave and Bud. The lights were pretty easy to do thanks to Tylus's how-to thread. Upper and lower grill inserts were pretty easy to paint as well, though it's about 50/50 on those who like it and those who don't, but that's okay because I really like the look of it

Truck looks good there Mitch and good to see you back :)
