How to - recon mirror lights 08-09
 

Just installed a set of recon mirror lights on my 08. Recon doesnt have any instructions on their website and the lights dont come with them either so I thought I would share. Once I realized what to do it was really simple.

If you position the mirror up and in as far as it will go you will be able to see a white colored tab behind the mirror itself. Use a long screwdriver to press that tab and then you can pull the light assembly out.

Once the light assembly pops out, twist and remove the light sockets and then remove the bulbs. The new lights are marked L and R. Plug the Recon connectors in to the original bulb sockets and test the lights. Be sure to test them before reassembling.

Finally line up the tabs and reinstall the new lights and this is the finished product. The LED lights are amber, the bottom portion is the parking light and the upper portion is the hazard/signal light.

Truck looks good. Crapang what do your headlights look like. Are they different than the regular super duties? If they are then I would like to put them in my truck.

The HD trucks come with tinted head lights. I havent personally looked but I understand they can be purchased on EBay.
