NP205 PTO Unit

Hello all, I was wondering if any NP205 pto unit will bolt up to the 205 on my '79 f-250? I have a lead on a spicer unit that came from a '78 dodge powerwagon np205, but am not sure because I believe the dodge has a passenger side drop, and my truck has a drivers side drop for the front driveshaft. I want to run a pto winch out the rear of my truck with the pto. I have a pto for my NP435, but just recently realized it is only one speed in the directon of the crank, so therefore I will not be able to power out the winch cable. This is no good to me. I want to get one for the transfer so that I can use the tranny gears to control the winch direction...let me know if the dodge unit will work, and also if you see any flaws in my setup...thanks

Also, I have heard that I can just switch the gears in my current unit to mesh with the 205, any info on this? thanks.
