BIGFOOT ranger
there is a BIGFOOT extended cab 1st gen ranger sitting near my house possibly for sale. are they rare, what options should they have, what are they worth, and does anybody make reproduction decals?

They are very rare indeed! However I cant honestly tell you how much its worth. But its If I ever come across one I'll buy it and fix it up. I defantly think It would be worth it if you got the time and money to restore.
|
so i sould not have done this to one?
http://www.supermotors.net/getfile/7...e/100_0972.jpg it looks way better with a V8 and full width axles under it.. lol |
This vintage - if I remember these are in the late 80's (like 87, 88? ) up into the early 90's is the kind of Ranger I'm looking for to make my own project. If I could find one of these, that'd be amazing, but I don't see that happening because they are so rare.
I bet the decal package might be hard to find to do a full restoration...but I'm sure with some effort they can be found. |
anyone who does vinyl grapics should be able to do decals, the bigfoot ranger pkg was mostly show, might as well make it go too! put d44's or d60's under it, V8. the original just had a 2.9, a rollbar with lights, rear window than went down into the rear cab wall and side decals. ive seen a exploder sport-trac with a similar rear window. a yugo is fairly rare, doesnt mean its worth much.

This is the first i've seen and heard of a bigfoot ranger. Although i'm not suprised. I myself am partial to the f-150 bigfoot trucks. I wonder though if ford put that package on the 250 and 350 trucks?

I remember seeing the Bigfoot Ranger around in the late 80's, think there might have been one of them in my neck of the woods I don't think they had a Bigfoot package for the heavier series (250's and 350's) though.
ETA: Hold up - let me correct myself...from a 1994 edition of OffRoad Mag... Bigfoot Cruiser trucks are offered in F-150, F-250, and Ranger SuperCab models, in 2WD and 4WD versions. All trucks come with Ford's top-of-line XLT trim package and are offered in Ford's Brilliant Blue metallic paint. They also feature Bigfoot custom graphics. |
I used to see one over this way years ago. They're cool trucks.

Awesome pics!!!
It's unfortunate you don't see Bigfoot anymore. All you ever see is grave digger. |
you should post the pic of BigFoot crossing the river on eight tires. I would but cant find it right now. I have most of the model kits of BigFoot.

I Have posted a Link(s) because some of these are huge pictures.
The Reason I have so many pics of bigfoot is cause he is the same year span as my truck (73-79).I got all these from bigfoot.com http://i684.photobucket.com/albums/v...apr09_1280.jpg http://i684.photobucket.com/albums/v...aug08_1280.jpg http://i684.photobucket.com/albums/v...apr06_1024.jpg http://i684.photobucket.com/albums/v...ver2/bf1-2.jpg http://i684.photobucket.com/albums/v...ver2/bf1-7.jpg http://i684.photobucket.com/albums/v.../bf1-float.jpg http://i684.photobucket.com/albums/v.../bf1-grass.jpg http://i684.photobucket.com/albums/v.../bf1-first.jpg http://i684.photobucket.com/albums/v...takethis-1.jpg http://i684.photobucket.com/albums/v...ver2/bf1-9.jpg http://i684.photobucket.com/albums/v...ver2/bf1-8.jpg http://i684.photobucket.com/albums/v...ver2/bf1-3.jpg http://i684.photobucket.com/albums/v...ver2/bf1-4.jpg http://i684.photobucket.com/albums/v...ver2/bf1-5.jpg http://i684.photobucket.com/albums/v...er2/BF1-19.jpg http://i684.photobucket.com/albums/v...ver2/bf1-6.jpg http://i684.photobucket.com/albums/v...2/bf1aspec.gif http://i684.photobucket.com/albums/v...2/66tire-1.jpg http://i684.photobucket.com/albums/v...ver2/bf2-2.jpg :-X25:-drink:)Oo. |
