Tailgate bottom/side weather stripping rejuvenation?

Is there a product that will rejuvenate weather stripping to make it puff out and seal again?

I searched but did not find a solution. I have gradually been getting more road noise coming from the tailgate area. Conversations are impossible on the highways with the overlay topping (tar with gravel topping). Opening the tailgate, looking on the passenger side, the side strip is dirty from the bottom corner of the gate up about six inches and that is the suspected area. I rolled up a towel and placed it near the spot and the noise diminished. What do you suggest?

Tail gate

I think I found the problem. The plastic around the striker on the passenger side is gone. The right side of the gate rocks forward and backwards. Perhaps with the A/C normal or on vent and the windows up the air pressure rocks the gate back enough for the road noise to get bad.

My drivers door is about to lose the striker plastic also. Where do you buy the plastic? Is that a Help section product? Thanks.

Striker Bolt Bushing Kit for tailgate and doors

Help! product #38424 Striker Bolt Bushing Kit, Ford Bronco aplication 1996-83. $4

Help from this forum. Priceless.

Today I installed new busings on all four striker bolts for four bucks. I can hear the radio now. Not only is tailgate noise reduced, I did not realize how loose the side doors were closing and letting in more noise and air.

Best tool to use, Torx T-50.
