Power Door Locks,or not?

Hi Guys,
A friend of mine just gave me a remote start system,it also will do the lock/unlock routine. My truck is an XL version...No power locks. I can get the door lock actuators (generic) locally.Question is...How hard is it to pull the door panels, and what type of plastic fasteners should I get to replace the ones that will inevidably break...Lastly,should I even consider putting power locks in or not?
Thanks!:-jammin:-X25

Yes, get the actuators. It will be rod driven to lock and unlock, you will need a few self tapper screws as well. Plastic fasteners are pretty sturdy and can be removed multiple times, you shouldn't worry about it until it is broken. The door panel is easily removed, you can find plenty of info by using the search function on how to do that.

Thanks for the reply,Ive got an entire weekend next weekend, and the wife/kid are gonna be out of town. Its supposed to rain buckets here(Memphis) so I figured id take a weekend, and tear into it.
Ive seen the aftermarket door actuators, and they,re very simple to install.Just havent been into the doors since I got the truck.:-X25
