heated mirror not working

is there anyway to replace the heating element in the mirror i hought it was a ground problem but signals and lights work and controls too really sucked ice on drivers side and passenger side is clear

The heating element is added to the back of the mirrors, so you could replace the mirror with a new one that would have it on. I think you might have a different problem though. It is quite rare for the element to go on them. I would check the wires and all connections starting from the mirror. Or pop the switch, and the connection at the mirror and see if you have continuity thru the power lead. And then check to the mirror end from the plug. (You could have a frayed wire somewhere or the connections just loosened off)

The power for the heater doesn't come from the switch, but a 99 shouldn't have Heated T/S mirrors anyway, so they must be added.

thats correct i did add them

Check for voltage at the mirror before you give up on the heating element. Did you use later stock mirrors or aftermarket ones?
