Ignition system

so what ignition systems do you all have, and how do you like them?

i just replaced my Unilite with a Dura spark 2 dissy and a chrysler control box, with the same coil.

i have a performance distributors d.u.i and i am satisfied with it. truck runs much much smoother and better with it. doesnt burn out all over the place like its satans personal daily driver, but its a noticeable difference in driveability. but i am for sure not happy about the 500 dollar price i paid! i have discovered there are cheaper alternatives, like taking one from a 73-79 truck and slapping it in.

I have a UniLite in my 72 and it runs fine but I'm thinking of converting to DuraSpark II. My reasoning is DS II parts can be had at any parts store but the Mallory stuff I'd have to order. Not a good thing when the truck quits along the road.

thats one reason why i put the chrysler control box in. that box was in almost all chryslers but there were tons of different Ford ones. so i might have a better chance of getting a replacement one if i need one in a pinch. but i kept the Mallory coil because i can replace that with just about any coil i want, but i might as well keep something that i know works.
