Wheel upgrade to 22s or 24s?

I am purchasing a 2008 Expedition EL Limited 4X4 that comes with the chrome clad 20s. While I like the 'look', I don't like the way they put them together. Thinking about putting on a set of F150 Harley Davidson 22s. Has anyone done this swap that could post feedback and/or pics? What other 22s or 24s have you put on the EL and how do you like them? I am looking for something that looks good and does not require lifts or mods to fit. Thanks in advance!

Not sure if they will fit, just remember to add the tire pressure monitors to the new rims.

I saw an ad for a new EL Limited (from a dealer in Florida I think) with 22's on sweet "real" chrome wheels - it looked awesome! These pups looked like they fit on a beast like this, not like the 20" plastic ones on my EL.
Its a big rig and it needs proper shoes!

I've got 22s on my 08 EL. They're Weld 22x9. Really cool. You can see the brakes real well. Tires are a 40 series Nitto terra grappler all terrain. Can't remember the size though. They're actually 2% smaller diameter than stock. Runs and handles great even in snow.

305-40/22. If I did it again I'd go with a 45 or 50 series. 40s are a hair too skinny.

Ok I give, whats wrong with chrome 20's? I think they look sharp on my wifes limited. Is it a craftsmanship or quality issue?

Even 50-series is way too thin for Ohio potholes! Bent rims get expensive.

Exactly. Bent rims, scratched rims, stolen rims, popped tires. Too much to worry about.

Check your dealership or one of the OEM parts site sponsors as I'm fairly certain Ford offers 22s as an add on accessory.

I've seen an Expedition with those 22s at my dealership and I liked them better than those plastic clad 20s.

LEXANI Wheel Corporation
check these things out, they look SICK. If i had the money and the right vehicle i would go with lexani for sure. Having the coolest rims in town isnt cheep, and it is risky sort of, people steeling them them bending and getting them scratched. just be carfull and you can have what ever you want really.

I've never bent my 22s. My wife drives it 95 % of the time and no problems. I 've never had any stolen either. That includes lots of trips to Vegas too. They'll steal anything.
