Replace front wheel bearing 2003 F150

Anyone know how to replace a front wheel bearing on a 2003 F150 4x4?
What steps are involved and can it be done at home.

I do beleive you cant just change the bearings....I think you need to replace whole hub....they are pressed in.

Is that hard to do?
I don't have a manual. Is there step by step instructions on how to do this?

Its mostly straight forward . Remove the axle nut (You may want to loosen this up before you jack it up if you dont have a good impact). Remove tire caliper and rotor . Then with the axle nut removed push the the cv shaft back about an inch. This gives you a little more room to at at the three bolts that hold the bearing in . Remove the three bolts. Don't forget to unplug the wire to the antilock brake harness . Now the bearing is only held rust and corrosion . I some times us a slide hammer puller at this time to nudge it out . I also coat mating surfaces with anti size during re assembly.
Expect to pay about $150.00 for the new bearing.

Like thecardoc said. Pretty straight forward. I replaced mine about a week ago. The bearing is part of a two piece hub and serves the place of what a traditional spindle and hub would do. I did have to use a torch to heat up the hub bolts because they were rusted in place. It went together a lot easier than it came apart. 150.00 is about a cheap as you'll find them. I installed a dealer supplied unit and it had a USA made Timken bearing.
