stage 1's or just a TW chip ?

I bought a stock 95 psd and want to start moding it. I had a 97 with a TW chip and loved it. I was able to hit 1200* pulling a trailer.

My question is will I realy gain anything with stage 1 injectors? If i was able to hit 1200* with the stock ones and a good tune ?

The way I see it is I was able to get the stock sticks to add enough fuel to hit max egt's so wouldnt that mean that i cant realy add any more fuel already ?

Stage 1's and a TW chip go really great together. :-drink

get the chip first, if you get the injectors first it will still be "stock" until you get a chip to actually use the injectors to their potential.

my stage 1's are being mailed out today. i'm so excited.

you can have the TW burned for stage 1s and it will run fine, and that way when you get stage 1s you will already be set!!

I realize a TW chip will compliment stage 1's but my question is

will I see a benifit with doing stage 1's over a just a TW chip when I'm pulling a trailer. as it is right now I can max my egt's with just a chip pulling a trailer so is there any sense in trying to add more fuel with biger injectors ???

Depends on the size of your trailer and hills whether or not you can really utilize the higher power settings on the chip. The beauty of Stage 1's and an adjustable TW chip is you can turn the chip down clear to stock if you have to when pulling hard. But, you don't have the power to pull heavy loads up big hills at a reasonable speed. I had way more power available than I could use until I added the IC, now my towing EGT is managable. The combination of Stage 1's, TW, and IC really work well together for my towing needs. I needed all 3 to really work it hard and get the full benefit of the fuel and programming. I'd seriously consider going with all 3 if you want to tow at a higher power level.

I kept the 6.0 cooler set up out of my 97 to put in the new truck. So I plan on using all 3 hopefuly it works good.

how heavy of a trailer do you pull magkarl ?

My setup is about 7000-7500 # which isnt bad

Buying mods before a truck huh? Thats the way to do it.

you won't notice much if any difference if you drop 1s in there without programming to support them, we dropped a set of Jim's injectors in my brother's truck and he noticed that it felt like it was a little stronger but not much, if you are wanting to feel the difference then get the chip, the injectors will only be power potential, not power utilized until you get some programming to make them work to their potential

definetly a chip before the injectors. Gauges before the chip.

definetly a chip before the injectors, open element air filter too.
