wow jake, your 94 is immaculate! lol

it looks as if it was just driven off of the dealers lot.

nice rig

Thanks that was after a good wash and wax. But the only problem with my truck is that it was a Candian Import so since they use salt up there, the rear wheel arch is starting to rust out. :(

really??? im surprised! underneath the hood it looks brand new!

builtfordtough13 01-28-2009 10:00 PM

yikes. when i find little bits of rust on my rig i sand it down quickly and paint it to keep it from getting worse. it doesn't look pretty right now, but its what i am doing to preserve the body until i have enough money to get it painted professionally.

You gotta love the salt that they put on the roads in the winter. It eats up everything.

highboy87 01-29-2009 12:14 PM

in utah you have it double.. you've got the salt on the roads, plus that damned salt lake. so when it rains it's dumping that wonderful salt water all over your truck.. utah would probably win the title for rustiest state. haha

I don't post around this forum to much, but since I'm 24 I still qualify as a youngin, lol.

Here's my 96 F150 Eddie Bauer Edition, 302 V8, E4OD, 51,037 original miles. I've added a stereo, amp and speakers, and dual exhaust, other then that shes still as original as they come.

Here's my 86 F150, I've pretty much rebuilt and rewired this entire truck for the ground up. (See sig for mods)

Here's what my 82 F100 use to look like...

http://i288.photobucket.com/albums/l...R1-042-19A.jpg

My 82 is currently in about 300 pieces between my garage and a buddies shop. I've got a 460 and c6 that'll be going in it for sure. I'm still not sure what direction I'm gonna take with this rig. I have enough good rust free 80-86 body panels to put together a nice mismatched color rust free body, but I'm also considering upgrading it to a 94 F150 front clip that a buddy of mine will sell me for cheap. In either case I'm planing a 3/5 drop with dream beams in the front, and a axle flip in the back, I have a set of 17 inch American Racing torque thrust d's that I'll be putting on it as well. People call me crazy for spending the money I've spent fixing up my beat to hell 82 F100, but it was the first vehicle I've ever owned, bought it when I was 15. I'd rather "waste" my money making something out of it then just sending the old girl to the junkyard.

Nice looking trucks Mat. The garage in the pic looks very deep.

Thanks.

Yeah I'm quite fond of my deep garage. Before I tore my F100 down I had the completed truck on wheel jacks. I'd turn the truck sideways in my driveway and then push it into the rear of the garage. Even with the F100 sideways in the rear of the garage I could still park my 86 and 96 F150s side by side and have a good 4 feet or so left in front of them to shut the door.

I'm seriously considering building a identical garage right next to it this summer. That would mean less back yard to mow, and more places to put my toys. The wifey isn't to thrilled with the idea but she'll get over it. I promised her a spot in the new garage since she's afraid to even go in the other one. Shes afraid to park in the current one because its sorta at a weird angle and the only time she ever tried backing out she backed into the house. If it gets real bad out I'll put her car in there and pull it out for her. I've got a nice big chunk of open land to build the new one, with a clear shot straight out the garage door to the ally. I jokingly told her I'd take her down to the DMV to have her license revoked if she managed to back into something on her way out of that one.:-missingt

That is a funny story. If you do build a new one start a thread here and post up some pics so we can be jealous of your "other" large garage! :-drink

Matt that is one sweet looking dually! I wanted a crew cab but after looking for 8 months I just got the extra cab.
