My rear bumper is magnetized-what can I do??

I just found out that my rear bumper and 2 inch receiver hitch is strongly magnetized. What can I do about this??

I know that it is magnetized because Japanese steel is drawn to it and Japanese cars driven by middle aged distracted women try to submarine under the rear bumper.

The rear bumper is magnetized even when the engine is off and the emergency brake is on and the truck is in first gear.

Anyone else have this problem??

demagnetize it?

Ever So Gently Sliding It In Reverse, And Mashing On The Go Pedal Will At Least Let Them Know You Want It Demagnetized.

Can't tell if your serious or not, but that's one of the strangest things I've ever heard of. I think to demagnatize a ferromagnetic metal you have to expose it to a varying AC field or get it red hot... Do a google search though...

But it is only magnetized if the steel is Japanese and driven by at least one middle aged woman. Maybe I should get one of them old "baby on board " signs.

I have seen this happen to other F150s-and I use to point and laugh as drove by. Something about the F series rear bumper and Hondas with their sloping low hoods and the high bumper of the F series.

Maybe You Have A Magnetizing Affect On Middle Age Women. Sounds Unnfortunatte, But Mannagable

I have heard of a magnetic personality-but it's the rear bumper that they want. I thought that I was going to have to pull the poor Honda home with me--it wouldnt disconnect at first. Just loved that rear bumper and receiver hitch. It left a "love bite" on the Honda.

Yeah--40 years ago-I wouldnt have minded-especially if the middle aged women were thirty years younger....

The problem with my 93 F-150 is the front bumper is magnitized. Had 3 rice rockets try to become hood ornaments last month. Must have something to do with the fact that Honda drivers with their hats on backwards can't see stop lights.

Solution: Meat Eater Grill Guard, And An Extra Long Reciever Without A Ball On It For Easy Drive Forward Removal

Solution: Lift your truck higher. Those low riding Honda's will just drive underneath you.

You are probably right--I bet that Big Foot never had this problem!!! The women would need a ladder to get to him.
