Just in case anyone wanted to know..you can put a harley in a stepside ranger.
 

Got a call tonight that my girlfriend had been in an accident on her sportster. Guy pulled out in front of her and she went down. Bike was not rideable but was pushable. I had purchased some ramps at harbor freight and between my dad and I we were able to push it up the ramp and secure it in the bed. Angled somewhat, the rear wheel was firmly in the bed even though i could not put the gate up. Getting it down was not too bad either.

Its the little ranger that could!

And she is ok, some road rash, some bruises, and about $700 damage to the bike.

The only place I want to put a harley is under my butt ha ha.

you can also fit 1500 lbs of sand, although I do not recomend driving it too far....

my dresser would fit with the tailgate down also, but I couldn't drive it because it weighed 1300 lbs

Good to hear she is ok. I ride a Harley myself (heritage softail) and cant imagine dumping it. I have seen a few peolple go down and dont like it at all.... cant see my bike fitting in that back of my truck though.

That would have my stomach in knots. She must be a pretty good biker too. Either that or those Sportsters are even tougher than I've heard. Was the driver chatting or have busted mirrors? I've been itching incessantly for years to ride a Suzuki GS500 or similar. My blood runs hot for that, but have never found money or logic enough.

I have a couple of friends that own Victorys like me but they went out and bought a Sportster too because they are so much.

It was one of those things that the guy kept edging...and edging....and edging....and then pulled out in front of her. She has not even owned a car for 5 years....she keeps me plenty nervous...not because of her but because of **** like this. I got a call from her right after as the parameds were arriving and she didnt know how bad she was...and I was about 40 minutes away...took off not knowing what the situation was. I was part way there and she called back saying she was not being transported and that my parents had gotten there.

Yeah...not a happy 30 minutes.

She must have been high on adrenaline for a bit. Which is a good sign, but it can cause some problems. Esp if the biker throws a fit, which makes he/ she appear uninjured to witnesses & some officers. Hope she kept her head & simply stayed restful the whole time.

The emts released her at the scene...she has some good road rash on her palm and lots of bruises and aches. But overall everything works. I keep telling her be thankful for the pain....cause it could be a whole lot worse.
