God, where's Fox BEEN?!!?

I know! I know! It's been a lil while. SO, where have I been these days? I'll tell ya

Some jack decided it would be a good idea to steal my truck. Yup! My old white truck. NOthin pretty, nothing worth money... heck the best thing about it is it's 6ft to the gallon gas milage! But, they musta been desperate, I guess. And so was I to get it back.

I called 911 (I don't know the number to just the cops, so yeah..) and told them what happened. SEVEN HOURS LATER they send a cop who comes up to me and asks "Ok, where's the victim?" "You.. mean my truck?" "No, didn't someone get shot?" "no... someone stole my truck" "Did you threaten to shoot someone?" "not out loud.." "ok. well I have t ogo. Someone will be back out here later on." and left.

TWO DAYS LATER a cop comes up to my house "Someone stole your truck?" "yes" "where is it?" "excuse me?" "the truck." "What part of 'someone stole it' don't you get?!" "Oh, so YOU didn't steal it?" "no.. someone stole it from ME" "What's it look like?" so I described it, and gave him all the pictures I had of it. As he leaves, I hear him say "man, looks like a junker.."

That may be so, but it's MY junker... and I wanted it back!

Of course, I've had people keeping their eyes out for it. There's no truck that looks anything like it. It goes down the street, and if someone sees it's not me behind the wheel I'm getting 100 phone calls askin if it was stolen. But, noone's seen it. I was gettin worried that someone took it to Cushman and burned it. Thankfully, a friend said they'd checked there everyday and hadn't seen it there either.

Well, last night at about 4am I hear a very familiar truck roll on by my house. So I race out, get in Daniel's explorer (he has no idea what's going on, he just knows he didn't have time to say no) and I chased after it. Soon enough I see my truck and I'm following it. I called the cops and said "I'm following my truck. Either you get over here NOW and get him, or I'm gonna get him for you, and you guys will have one hell of a hard time finding him afterwards" I was not about to be playin around. I was pissed.

I followed him for about 45 minutes until someone pulled ME over for following too close. I run out screaming "GET HIM HE STOLE MY TRUCK!" but instead the guys comes out of his car and HANDCUFFS ME for "being obscene and boligerant"

Lucky for me, my left blinker's out, and the guy got pulled over 2 miles away. When they ran the plates they'd seen it was reported stolen and I got it back. Today I got an official letter of opoligy from the police station.

"Michelle,
When Officer _____ pulled you over, he did not have knowledge of your vehicle being stolen. When you began screaming about the stolen vehicle, he assumed you were trying to get out of a ticket. The ticket that you recieved is void, and can be discarded. If the ticket has already been paid, take it to the courthouse with a reciept and it will be completely refunded. We are deeply sorry for the misunderstanding and hope it will never happen again."

So 300 dollars later (for my new window that the guy who stole it didn't have to pay for) I now have my truck back.

So how have yall been? =D

No doubt.. gah. They didn't take too kindly to me threatening the guy in my truck... but at the same time... I didn't take too kindly to someone stealing it in the first place.

Glad you got your truck back.
Dang should have beat the living #$%#% out of the guy and the cop pulling you over.
They should have known. Very dumb of the cop not to ask base if any vehicals were stolen. Not ragging on all cops just that one.
