'96 Dyno Run 325 Rwhp Vid
 
Just threw in a set of Hypermax Injectors I've had on the shelf for 6 years for my old F350 '96. Threw down 325 RWHP. Dynoed at 150 RWHP stock with stacks and intake. Need Dual HPOP to let the injectors flow at full capasity. Can't wait. Check out the video.

Impressive no doubt. How much TQ did it make? Post up the dyno graph if possible.

Wow, thats awesome. Do you have a lift on the truck? What size tires are those? Do you ever have the tires rub? I only ask cause I have an F250 as well with 33 inch M/T's now, but I was wondering if I could go any bigger.

Outstanding. You have got to post this on the General Discussion page of the diesel section (down a bit from here). The IDI diesel guys will totally crack up. And yes, I did.
If you allow, say, 2%(?) for transmission losses you are looking at in excess of 330hp at flywheel. Outstanding.

My dyno guy did the 325 run. In 2 runs after that I put up a 335 at the wheels. I just don't like to have other people take video for me, cause every time I do I get home and have a bunch of crap video or pictures of half a truck.

That screen shot looks you had it on a Dyno Dynamics dynometer; the numbers are about 12% lower than a dynojet.

How much torque did it put down?

Your truck looked great with the previous tires and rims. Why did you put those anemic looking tires and rims on your truck?

How much torque did your truck put out? Hard to believe your Diesel only put out 150 HP stock. Is that how much HP these old Diesels make? Is this the Powerstroke Diesel?

Edit: I re-read your post and seen where you said RWHP. How much HP from the motor itself?

Just running them for drags because they fit any 8 lug, 170mm or 6.5. Am going to run 37x12.5 XAT Procomps as soon as I put the Dana 60 under the front.

On the HP from the motor, I'm not positive. On a Mustang forum I found an equation of RWHP is 85%, but thats for mustangs which have a much more efficient drivetrain. The newer model trucks with 5 Speed Autos thats probably pretty close, but with the older 4R100 and especially C6s and E40Ds the number is probably more like 80% unless they have a torque converter lockup. So that would be 406.25. Oh and when I Dynoed it stock I had the 6" stacks on it so that probably robbed it of about 10-20 HP due to not enough backpresure.

You can count on at least 20% loss through the drivetrain, so if those numbers are at the wheels, crank HP/TQ is higher, whereas if the numbers are calculated at the crank, they'll be lower at the wheels. The differential ring gear size and tire size also play a part in how much TQ gets to the ground, larger ring gears and smaller tires puts more power down. The last thing I'll note is that making HP is all about airflow, so backpressure is something you definitely want to minimize.

Yep that's it, they probably make well over 400 ft/lbs TQ from just above idle though. HP is just TQ x rpm, and since these motors don't rev much past 3500rpm the HP peak is pretty low. The big TQ is why these old diesels could get upwards of 30mpg though.

Wow, that truck truly is a beast. Aside from the aforementioned injectors, what else did you do to it?
And how did an f-350 end up with a TTB under the front end???
