If it aint one thing it's another...
I swear that statement is true! The handle on my door on the inside would sometimes not work.. it felt like it wasn't latching or whatever, and therefor my door wouldn't open. I lack any knowledge of how the door works, so I don't know if it latches, or what...
But I go to open my door from the inside, and as I pull up on my handle, I hear something shatter, and I can hear the pieces just falling to the bottom of my door. The first thing I do I climb out my passenger door, and see if I can still open it from the outside. I can. My dad's gonna look at it tomorrow, and my boyfriend says that a plastic connector probly just broke. Any other ideas? Is this gonna be expensive? |
naw go to a junkyar and get a wrecked door with good innards and swap them over.
|
Is it hard? My dad's gonna look at it tomorrow, and I"ll make sure to take pics and figure out what really happened. Til then I'm just kinda taking shots in the dark.
|
naw its pretty easy just steel rods and plastic clips.

b-uno is right, not too bad of a job. The only pain is the a$$ is getting your hands into some of those spots where those clips are. I had my door inards all apart last year to do the power door lock actuator fix. Putting everything back together took longer than taking it apart and working on the door lock actuator. Good luck though. Hope all works out well.

whats teh worse thing that can happen? it wont get fixed! leave the door panel off and operate the stuff from inside the door.
|
I got it fixed, actually, and it nothing that anyone even thought of. A piece of metal from my door actually broke off, and a metal clip is what I hear (still holding the piece of door) falling to the bottom of my door. My dad did soemthing with a spacer and got it fixed. I had to handle the phones, since he was techinically supposed to be working.

I think its weird the door is what broke, and not the clip itself..
