Highway tire selection recommendations

I am trying to decide on what tires to install on my 2000 F-350 Diesel dually. I know I need load range E tires which are all rated @3000lbs single and a little less dual. I am usually driving with the truck overloaded (dump truck) at up to 18000lbs and want to get the strongest possible tire. I was wondering if there is a big difference in tires of the same load range because the price and weight of the tires can go from 37 to 56 pounds and from @$100 to $250. The Michelin XPS rib and the Goodyear G949 seem to top out the category, but I was wondering if they are really worth twice the cost of lets say the BFG Commercial TA tires if I am hauling a lot of weight. I've also considered going from the recommended 215 85 16 to the 235 85 16 because even though both are E load rated the capacity is @300 lbs more for the larger size. It looks like there is two inches of room between rear tires and the increase in tire width is only 8/10 inch. I've heard recommendations against doing this, but I think there is plenty of room where the tires will not contact. 2000 Dodge dually trucks came with the 235 tires, but I do not know the wheel width and spacing. Anyone else used this size on a Superduty dually? Thanks for advice.

My $0.02 would be to stick with the stock width tires in a E load range. With 4 stock tires on your rear axle, the load limit is probably the axle rating and not the tire ratings.

Even if you went with the 235's and the rear tires did not touch when loaded, I'll bet that they would contact each other while driving over bumps and ruts.

18K is a heroic load for an F-350 dually.

Damon, off the subject but why don't you guys carry the Hankook DynaPro M/T RT03? I was thinking of ordering from you but you didn't carry the tire I wanted. Is that a comment on the tire?
Just wondering...
