Super Duty on 50 worst vehicles list?

2000 Ford Excursion - The 50 Worst Cars of All Time - TIME

Excursion on worst vehicle list... I think these dirty hippies need something better to do...

I think alot of automotive journalists are writers first, and probably car guys tenth.

as a run about family go to the mall car it is pretty insane unless you have a family of 9. Ive got to admit I dont get why these magazines dont see the practicle uses for these vehicles.

Id love me a matching 05 excursion to my f250, but it would only be driven by my wife and one kid, plus i dont tow anything, now that would be a waste lol.

edd

edit: the above is of course imho, if you can afford to run an excursion to ferry your lone self around then damn it you should, the idea the driving a gas guzzler is (quoting the h2 passage in that article) "openly scornful of the common good" drive me crazy.

I can't beleive the Model T is on there from 1909.

dkf 11-13-2008 12:33 PM

Don't think they really know what they are talking about. I think the Ex is a great SUV. I have little faith in yota and honda loving journalists. I tend to disregard the vast majority of auto magazine publications and do the research myself.

Look at the 95' Explorer comment. They blame the explorer for starting the gas guzzling SUV craze. Bunch of morons. Many vehicles that should have made that list that didn't, MG is one of them.

i dont care what they say....i love my superduty

krejci.mike 11-13-2008 12:42 PM

I think it should be in the TOP 50!

Yeah, the only thing I can totally agree with these guys on is the 305 California Vette, Iron Duke Camaro, Edsel, and DeLorean.

I can't believe they tore into the model T either... Jesus it was the first affordable car. I would have loved to see the 1905 Toyota and Honda competitiors that offer a better interior and economy:-missingt

Not to mention I took from it they said the car was a bad thing? Addiction to oil... hmmm

Where is the 1977 Lincoln Mark V with its 8mpg epa rating and choked off 460 ci V8?

Ohhh well who am I to judge my worst car list is slightly different. I mean, I actually use my truck and enjoy a good drive in performance cars. I must not be worthy of an opinon because I come dangerously close to knowing what i'm talking about...

Dirty communist hippies.

I do not subscribe to a single automobile or truck-related magazine. I've got FTE to read.

Who could ask for more?

The Model T conferred to Americans the notion of automobility as something akin to natural law, a right endowed by our Creator. A century later, the consequences of putting every living soul on gas-powered wheels are piling up, from the air over our cities to the sand under our soldiers' boots. And by the way, with its blacksmithed body panels and crude instruments, the Model T was a piece of junk, the Yugo of its day.
Um.... I think there's a slight bit of bias in this assesment?

ken kenmnedy 11-13-2008 04:23 PM

yes sir I think them sissy writers need to kiss me where the sun dont shine, and then call me from the ditch and ask for help

WeWonIt 11-13-2008 05:55 PM

That is it...I'm going to go park on top of a Honda now!
