master cylinder

so today I was driving, i came to a stop and the brakes were fine until i had to push farther to come to a complete stop. the brakes failed. the pedal begins to fade until it is all the way down but there are no brakes, i continue to move unless i pump them they sort of come back. I am thinking it is my master cylinder, all my pads are good and my liners are fine. no leaks that i have found. I checked my fluid and the levels were fine. so would it be my master cylinder or something else?

Brake Booster eh? Alright, how hard is that to take out and reinstall ? I wouldnt think it would be too hard and it would probably be smart to replace the master cylinder at the same time.

K thanks Ben for all your info!
Is it as pretty straight forward as it looks?
