I'll post this link to help but I'm not sure if the early '99's are the same as the rest.

Welcome to guzzle's Stancor GPR replacement Mod Web Page

Look at the picture caption "Remove the Old GPR"

'99's are the same. Only difference is lack of AIH relay.

Good to know, thanks.

Thanks for the pic, mine is very similar. With the ignition on, the "#3" wire has positive voltage, which would be contrary to it being a ground through the PCM??????

3 & 5 could be reversed and the relay will still operate. With key on you will see battery on both with one lead to ground. You will be reading the voltage through the winding. You need to lift the wires off the posts to isolate them and then read their potential with key on.

Edit: Nice diagram Jim. Does what I said make since?

Yes it does Robin, A coil dosen't know the difference between positive and negative. They are sometimes marked just for the sake of keeping things the same.

Thanks!

Sorry in advance for the necropost, but on this page, http://api.viglink.com/api/click?for...d%20Web%20Page , On the diagram "Remove the Old GPR", what is the purple wire on the output terminal?

That wire goes to pin 8 of the PCM (Glow Plug Monitor). Somewhere along the way there is a fusible link and wire changes color to White/Lt Grn.
