Ok...here's what I have.

Outside air temp: 75* F going 75 MPH on the turnpike. From OKC to Tulsa and back.

Intake are temp:75* F.....so no need for CAI systems
Transmission temp: 175* to 185*...so about 100* over ambient temp.
Cylinder Head temp: 204* to 206*
Water Temp: 190* to 196*


I tried to get a Horse Power at WOT...but It didn't seem to register after I went over 280...it just went blank...don't know why?

Never could figure out how they determine torque & HP.

I've had it show XXX lb ft of torque at a certain RPM but when I did the math the HP figure it showed was waaaaaaaaay off.

I've also had it show HP in the 380 range. Now, my Excursion is slightly modified with a new Y-pipe and exhaust but that shouldn't give me a 70HP (according to Ford's ratings) increase. Plus, it was below the HP peak.

I now no longer even look at those two options. :)

About the intake temps...I show the same thing. Makes you wonder why so many folks will let themselves be duped by air intake companies that label their products as "cold air" intakes. Just shows you what a little information will do to your decision making. :D

Your tranny temps seem high to me. 150*-160* is normal for both my Excursion and Avalanche in highway type cruising.

Yeah..I thought my Trany temp was high too...but not sure it's on the money....I had to use the CAN codes to get that part to work....the PWM wouldn't work. If they ever came out with a A-pillar setup...I would go that route for Transmission Temp and Water Temp and Oil Pressure.

Still one of the coolest tools!

After reading more on this site and seeing the results of others with there monitoring systems....it looks like at highway speeds at 75* I should have a reading of 175 to 185 for transmission temps (not towing). So I feel better now. May in the future put a second cooler to help it out.

That's what I'm seeing. 175° - 185° non-towing. I think this is thermostat controlled, it's the same all year round. 195° or so towing. Only one time above 200° and that was in some very heavy city driving.

Water coolant temperature runs below 200° towing or not while rolling. Cylinder heat temp is usually +5 - +10°.

So I would have to say that this looks to be normal....glad to hear that most are reporting this. Good info!

Here's a plot of my engine coolant temperature on a typical tow for me.

Late spring last year towing about 100 miles east on the PA Turnpike, including Sidling Hill then thru hill country down PA997 to Gettysburg.

Stayed just below 200°.

I assume you mean sidling hill on the way to or from deep creek lake in MD? If so what is your climbing speed on that bad boy? What is your GCWR? Just wondering, it's one heck of a eastern hill.

Sidling Hill on the PA Turnpike east of Breezewood.

The '07 Expedition is pulling a 5000+ pound travel trailer and will maintain 65mph easily in cruise control the entire length of the PA Turnpike and no lower then 4th gear. I'm guessing 12,000 pounds GCVW (15,000 pounds GCVWR with HD Tow).

Not a bad load, looks like it's only 96" wide (not 102" like the wide bodies). 65 is impressive, I'm not too sure what the grade is you are pulling there, I'm thinking of sidling hill off of I 68 west bound, long slow grade (6 or 8%), I'm all about being able to pull at speed or more. I honistly don't care about fuel economy, I just like the look on peoples faces when your pulling 15 or 20K lbs up a hill behind their honda van at 75 MPH.
