Commercial B-99

What could you tell me about Agri Biodiesel?

A few months ago, when diesel was a buck more a gallon, I was running the Agri B-99 between my own batches. Now I'm getting #2 500ppm petro fuel for $3.85 per gallon and blending it with my stuff.

Western States Patrolium is currently charging $4.29 per gallon for the Agri B-99.

Is Agri Biodiesel a large company?
How is price figured when it comes to Bio? I imagine crops have alot to do with it. Is the cost tied to petro in any way?

Agri BioDiesel is a generic name given to any agriculturaly derived biodiesel. The agri B99 that Western States Petroleum markets is soybean based (as is most commercially produced biodiesel). But they are just the marketer of the product, and they don't say who their supplying producer is.

The price of agricultural biodiesel is tied primarily to the feedstock price, in this case, the price of soybeans. Many commodity-based stocks like soybeans have drastically risen lately, to the tune of 200% over the last two years for soybean prices.

Thanks for answering some questions of mine :-drink

I had no idea that the name was generic. That helps me understand a little more.
