Thats a kick in the pants. What happened to it?

MAKO314 08-25-2008 09:04 PM

the high pressure oil pump went out. imagine that, a 6.0 diesel with only 30,000 miles. great engine let me tell ya!!!!!

DaMole 08-25-2008 09:10 PM

We actually had the same problem on a 05 that had about 40k miles on it. They replaced it and we have not had another problem with it at 90k. Hopefully that will be your only problem.

I know that was tongue-in-cheek, but I'm damned tempted....:)

Just cruised through a GMC lot......Had a BEAUTIFUL 2008 2500HD on the lot....Black, 4X4....the full (leather) trim package.....amber roof lights.....off-road package.....Duramax/allison.....Short-bed with the crew cab......

(Drumroll).......$41,000.00!!!!!

Hell. Those things usually go for $53,000.00! They're doing that employee pricing deal this month. The listed price (41-K) is BEFORE the other rebates.....So you're actually looking at $38,000.00 and change for an awesome fully-loaded truck.

I'll tell you guys right now. If that was a longbed 3500HD (SRW), I mighta driven it off the lot. The only shortcoming with my F250 is that it's a shortbed.

If any of you boys are interested....It's parked (as of yesterday) at Lee-Forrest GMC on Tyvola Rd in Charlotte........Just east of I77 (exit 5).

are you kidding me or what? I'd rather push my POS ford than drive that truck That engine is a damn isuszu AKA Japanese piece of s@^@. where's you homeland spirit man??:-missingt

I EXPECTED that answer! :-X22

Still. One thing I DO like about GM/Chevy is that they didn't really have to change anything between 2007/2008---unlike Ford and Dodge. And Ford and Dodge have serious teething problems on the new stuff.

I suppose in about 20 years, FINALLY, the Duramax will have the longevity to earn respect as a 'time-tested' diesel......Although it's 8 years and running so far....
