I hope we do get some rain. It is so dry here my mint is drying out and the kudzu is wilting. I never thought you could kill either.

???!! Ya'll ain't been getting any rain? We've been getting it almost every afternoon for a couple of weeks now, floating away down here and this Fay is really gonna make it nasty. I haven't been able to cut the grass for better than two weeks.

DP-Tuner 08-20-2008 03:42 PM

I haven't cut my grass in 3 weeks. Why? because it hasn't rained for it to grow. Bermuda needs alot of water this time of year. We are having a well dug to water our yard with because we are restricted to watering only once a week. If we don't get rain soon I see them cutting us off again.

Please send some of that rain our way. :-drink

If we don't start getting rain soon I will have to get some hay to get the goats through the winter. I ended up having to get two bales last winter. Usually my rye and alfalfa grows well in the winter. Last year it did not. I had a lot of trouble finding the hay too.

I didn't know it was that bad up there for ya'll. I'd send you all the rain yo need if it was up to me, my truck's muddy and I can't wash it 'cause of the driveway. I don't mind muddy if it was fun putting it there but not from daily driving. If you need hay I can hook you up, my guy down here has square bales for $3.75-$4 and rounds for $35-$40 and he can't get rid of it fast enough to keep up with what he's cutting. It was hard to find last year though.

Looks like Fay is giving the southern part a lot of rain right now. I am going to Moultrie this weekend and looks like I may get a little wet.

I wish I could take some of that rain from you. The good news is it has rained today. It has been one of those nice slow soakers since noon and still going. We sure need it.
