Anyone use B99
Is anyone running B99 in their trucks? Any problems, or any thing that needs to be addressed before use? Thank You in advance.

Welcome to the Biodiesel forum. There's about 2 dozen guys running B-100 here, close enough for ya?
B-99 is just fine, just make sure and keep a couple of fuel filters in the truck. High levels of bio will tend to remove all the crud in your fuel system, and plug up your filter. After the first couple of filter changes you can go back to normal intervals. Any Ford newer than 94 requires no mods to run bio. |
fill'er up and enjoy

I'm running B100 and have had no trouble, just keep a few new fuel filters on hand for the first few tanks. I didn't need to change my filter but I know of some that did. that stuff is a great fuel system cleaner. the petro fuel would turn my FF black and bio keeps it looking nice and white

For those guys running B100. Are you making it your self and what process do you use.
Thanks. Sorry, I hope this is not going to mess up the original post. |
I make my own. processor, methanol, lye, electricity, my time and oil and lab supplies + about $1.10 per gallon. I water wash with water from a springhead behind the house so water isn't an issue. I use 99% pure methanol and 100% pure sodium hydroxide
