Welcome to out little corner of the world.
I've had good luck with several machine shops in Alb;
Ray's
Automotive Machine
Statkus
I've heard good things about Gary's in Alamogordo but I don't have any first hand experience with them.

Good luck
Bobby

Double B Engine Service in Alamogordo is top of the line. My son has an engine (Toyota 7M) over there and I've get one (4.9L) over there before too long. They are actually in La Luz, but it's just a hop up the street from here. Their number is 575-437-3389 if you want to give them a call. Looks like they also have a web site. www.DBengineservice.com Good guys, father son operation. Impecibly clean shop. I'd recommend them to anyone.

Thanks Gorilla1 beats heck out of going to Albuquerque for me these days, love the town but Alamo is 1/2 the mileage and pretty good area too.
