What have you guys been up to?

Work has been keeping my super busy and I haven't been in here in awhile. I saw the Navy Lake post but there was no way I was going to make it. Heck I'm working tomorrow and Sat night as well. Sucks.

Part of it was overtime though so I got the front windows of my truck tinted to match the back. I think it looks good. And I find that I am in need of new shoes for the "3B". I was thinking of getting 285/70/17 in either the Dueler Revo AT or the BFG AT's. Freaking 17" tires are $$$$$$$. The BFG prices I've seen between $220 and $250. So I'm gonna blow all my overtime just getting tires.

Anyone catch any big TN fish? I caught a 50lb amberjack, but it was down in FL. Nothing to big here in TN, yet....

I've been working all week. It sure is good to have a company truck & gas card, even if it is a Chevy the free gas makes it great. It has the 4.8 V8 & its the weakest truck I've ever owned. My old 92 E150 with the 4.9 straight 6 was much stronger. You can floor this Chevy & it takes off like a turtle. 0 to 60 in 30 minutes maybe. LOL! It sure is different from my F250. You floor it & you better have plenty of room in front of you cause its gonna haul ass.

I got a set of those size tires in a Cooper Discover ATR for around $155 each. Great tire. It pays to shop around. Good luck

Layed out 100 I sent you a PM

I saw where Bridgestone has a big building in Nashville, I wonder if I can get a discount somewhere. Ha.

Blue bomber-what type of stuff are you doing to your truck?

lariat97 07-26-2008 04:49 PM

I've caught a few big catfish in Miss. I don't fish much in Tn. I've caught some 20 lb plus cats on Arklabutla lake. It has good night fishing in the summer if they leave any water in it.

I'm glad my truck has 16s. I was looking at tire prices & 17s are higher than 16s. I have almost new set of 265/75/16 Michelin LTX tires on my F250. My friend that I bought the truck from paid almost $1000 for them. They ride good for a load range E tire.

Ditto on the 16s. Need a set for the older truck also 16s but still not happy with the price of tires.

Ford4dog, im going to be pulling my brakes apart again. Front and back. They hang up after about 10- 15 min. of driving. at first i thought the rears were hanging. but now it seems one of the front calipers is hanging up. so, im gonna tear it all apart again. put the hardware kit i have on. maybe swap master cyl. again. flush the whole system again and maybe it will work right. i have some gear oil for my 3 speed that im gonna get to this weekend and an oil change. if there is any time left, im gonna pull the plugs, clean and regap em. not to mention the dash needs put back together and the bomber could really use a bath.
