Will a 99-03 Manik brush guard fit on 1997 F-250HD?
 

I saw a used Manik 99-03 brush guard for sale, but the guy lives an hour away. Will it fit on a 1997 F-250HD or am I wasting my time thinking I can get it on? If it won`t fit, is it hard/costly to make it fit? Are the bolt holes that attach to the frame at different spots or what is it about the frame that does not fit.

It might fit, but I doubt it and even if it would bolt on it would probably look like crap.

The 97 F250HD is a totally different body style than the 99-03 F250 Super Duty. I do not think it would work at all.

You need to look for stuff for 92-97 F series trucks.

Actually, I have one for a superduty that I was going to put on my old 97 OBS. Two guys held it in place while I looked. Surprisingly, it didn't look out of place. Might be worth a try. You could use some angle bracketry to make it fit, depending on how it mounts. This particular one I had used brackets seperate from the guard itself, and they were missing anyway.

It would involve as much custom-mounting as a guard from a '99-'03 Chevy or Dodge.
