Exploded view of 55 272 Distributor

I cann't find a pic of a 55 ford distributor. I finally pulled mine out lastnight and found a wire that had a bad spot on it. It's the wire that connects to the points and runs under or out to the coil. This wire connects to the condenser to. I need to look at this wire better and I need to find out if I can get one to. Thanks

Scott B.

The wire that runs from the top of the points to the insulated bolt on the side of the distributor case has bit me twice, once in my F-2's flat six, and again in my panel's V8. It's a very easy thing to overlook but a very part to check, and the truck won't run if it's broke or shorting out.

Replace it with a rubber one (napa has them, lw??) you will never need to change it again.

Thanks, I didn't realize they made one. I'll have to check out the next time I go to NAPA, which will this week sometime.
