Radio Removal
My dash has developed a rattle and I need to get behind the radio (1999 F150). How do I remove the radio. I see there are 4 holes located on the face cover and I assume they are the key to removal. Can anyone provide the procedure?

you are subpost to get the little tool from Ford or wal-mart(a few bucks at wal-mart)and you stick it in to the holes but Ive read on here that you get the same affect by using a coat hanger you break it in to like 2 6" peices and bend into a "U" to go into the top and bottem holes push them in and with a little work you can get it out .....in a perfect world you should take the tool put them in pull them apart a little and you feel what seems to be a spring and then pull the radio out

I can vouch for the coat hanger trick. I THINK I remember that a little downward pressure was required to unlatch the radio. All I know is that I had to play with 'em for a few minutes, then all of a sudden, "CLICK" and out it came.
