Ford recalls 600,000 5.4 F-150s
 

Just saw this on yahoo's main page, and thought i would share.

Seems like a minor fix, but still looks bad as they are about to launch their new truck and their new "equal to Honda & Toyota" Slogan.

I wonder if this thread will get the same number of responses than a Toyota or Nissan recall thread?

probably not, but at least they can read it and get their free recall done. I am sure there are a lot of 5.4 trucks on the forum.

Doubt it, Ford is perfect.

Except for the millions of cruise control switches recalled,

or the 7.3 CPS issue years after production ceased,

oh and this

and countless others.

Didn't even make it to 10 posts!

Purchased my '06 F150 Screw 5.4L in 12/06, was built in 6/06. Will get this done as soon as the notice is received. Anything dealing with brakes, no matter how big/small is a big issue to me.

I try not to bash any make/model, but some are harder than others. Now I have no problems with Toyota/Ford/GM/etc issuing recalls. Isn't this good in one aspect, meaning the manufacturer is resolving the issue? Now if there are more than a normal number of recalls on a certain make/model, now that is a bigger problem and can not be over looked.

I think the reason most people rag on Toyota regarding their recalls is due to their arrogance. Not that either Ford/Toyota don't have their fair share of recalls, it's just the attitude of Toyota and some of it's followers. Bascially the attitude that Toyota's don't have problems and they never will. I do know there are some/many Ford followers like this though.

You don't usually hear this from too many Honda followers, as I notice they let the car do the talking more often than their mouth. Just my 2 cents.

I fail to see what toyotas recalls have to do with a 5.4 liter recall.
Hey fordsflylow, you should see who has more recalls, ford or toyota! Id be interested to know, now that ya brought it up!

Hey v8explr, Im a ford man, and can recognize the faults as well as the good with my fords. Browse around this site though, there are a TON of great guys , and lots of blind loyal guys with "ford is the best regardless of this recall, or that problem"
