Seat Belts

I was wondering where to get seatbelts for my 51 f1. My wife has an issue when I take the girls to town. I understand and that is why I want to find some.

I bought some TRW jobs at Pep boys.

Simpson Safety sells sets too.

I'm game, let the brain storming begin. Will be ready to install belt anchors in my 48 as soon as I get the cab back from primer.

If you're in a rush most NAPA stores carry lap belts. I got mine there...:)

Kusto 05-09-2008 06:32 PM

Vern, do you happen to know if they carry 3 point retractable belts as well?

ALBUQ F-1 05-09-2008 07:40 PM

FYI -- LMC and others sell pretty much the same lap belts; but only in lengths to (as I recall) 72" long. (I see the current catalog doesn't even list a length). With a stock bench seat and the typical mounting to the floor behind the seat, you need to be REAL skinny to get these around your waist. Go for 96" long.

Not that I am aware of. All I saw were lap belts...:)

Kusto, I know you have a 48.., but have you checked out mid 50's bolt-in seatbelt mounts? They fit the 53-56 rear upper cab..on either side of the glass for the upper 3point mount , don't know if they will work in your case , but a good idea nonetheless.
Might be able to make , find a close resemblence,

Thanks Mertz, I'll check it out. I'm having trouble locating the site, do you happen to have the link?

cmoritz 05-11-2008 01:11 PM
