Wide Tires Question
 

I just put on 325/60R18 tires on 9" rims and I just noticed they stick out past the fender well in the front and back. Will this pass inspection in Pa? :-huh

Technically, no...the tire can't extend past the wheel lip. Fender flares are an option, but I THINK (don't quote me) that they can't be wider than three inches.

The REAL answer to whether or not your wheels/tires will pass inspection is this: how well does your inspection mechanic like you? :D

They are less than 3" but not by much. I have the Dealer inspect it. I have not had good results with local shops in our area so I stay with my dealer. I have been ripped off too many times so it pays me to pay more at a dealer but I do not get the outstanding bills anymore. I hope the let me slide with the tires. Thanks for your help.

Can't you put on the stock ones for inspection, then swap back to the wider afterwards?
