moto metal dually rims
 

does anyone know if the moto metal 953 series dually rims will fit on a 1985 f350? i cant find out any info on the web about it. they were off a chevy dually. i know they have a conical lug seat on them( stock rims are hub centric on ford right?) but could i just get conical lug nuts? any info would be appreciated.

What is the rim size....... 16x6 I see ads showing the newer sized bolt pattern 8x170 only. I also saw info stating Chebby and Dodge work together but appears Ford is a loner. Just google your headline.

Ford F-250/350 single rear wheel :

1997-Back = 8-6.5" bolt circle
1999-up = 8-170MM bolt circle.


Ford F-350 Duallys as follows:

1997-Back = 8-6.5" bolt circle
1999-2004 = 8-170MM bolt circle
2005-up = 8-200MM bolt circle

they are 16x6 and they are definately 8x6.5 bolt pattern. i think the hub cutout is big enough, but they are conical style lug seat. my ford has the lug nuts with the flat washers on them which means the hub centers the rim and not the lug nuts right? thats my question will they work with that style lug seat. i know in the rear i have to run the stock steel rim on the inside(i think you have to do that with all the aftermarket alluminum dually rims) is this gonna cuase probs with the lug nut styles being different on the two rims?

Measure the center hole carefully.

80's model Dodge and Ford wheels work on each other.
But many of the Chevy or GMC wheels do not have a big enough center hole to clear the hubs.

what about the lugnut situation?

Even though Ford wheels are hub centric, they still have tapered lug nuts until you go 1999 or newer.

ok, i will measure the center hub diameter. pretty sure that it is big enough by looking at the distance from the lugnut hole to the outside of the hub. there isnt much metal there. i was just worried about the lug nut thing being as the ford rims are hub centric and the moto rims look as if they are lug centric. i can get all 4 for 300 bucks and they are in really good shape.
