Got my Tim Meyer engine kit today!!!!!!!!!!!!

I recieved my 400 engine kit today from Tim Meyer! My engine is origionaly a 351m, but I bought .030 over 400 pistons for it and a 400 crank for it. The kit included .030 pistons, rings, gaskets, timing chain, high volume oil pump, new springs, retainers, and locks, new valves, hydrolic roller cam, roller lifters, roller rocker arms, 400 retro kit, and other little odds and ends. I can't wait finish this truck! I have the cab almost ready to paint the firewall and interior, then put back on the truck. then engine, tranny, T-case, and front clip. Seeing all these engine parts is really getting me even more motivated to finish the truck A.S.A.P. but still have it look good. The block is at the engine shop to have it bored and have the heads resurfaced. I don't have very much time at all to work on the truck but pull all nighter weekends pretty much every week. I might have the engine shop assemble the whole engine as long as I have all the parts. They said they could do it for cheap as long as I have the parts already. I really wanted to build it myself but I don't know how time will work, and I would feel a hell of a lot more comfortable if the local racing shop built it for me. We'll see how things work out in a few days though. Now I got to find a cheap edelbrock intake, cheap 670 CFM holley truck avenger carb, and a cheap but good set of headers! Possibly also an aftermarket distributor? Anyway, I wanted to share the news cause I am pretty damn excited and I can't wait for stuff to slow down a little around here so I can get this thing goin!

I'm sorry I have been pretty darn busy. I will try to post up some picks of the parts. I am having the block bored and assembled as we speak but I don't know for sure when I will get it back. I'm gonna try to call them within the next few days to see how progress is going.

As for 2400 bucks, I didn't pay that much. With the 400 crank, and the pretty expensive roller cam, roller lifters, and roller rockers it was closer to $1500. I didn't really think that was too bad. I emailed Tim and he sent me a popular quote for a 400 rebuild kit, and we went from there. I still can't get over the roller rocker arms that I got. They are from a company called Scorpion Rocker Arms. They are the shiniest things I have ever seen in my life and have little scorpions engraved into each of them. Too bad I can't get clear valve covers so I can see the arms on the engine. LOL :-missingt :-D

look like your rear main sceal was leaking and the motor was running too cool or too long between oil change cause of the sludge on your head. When i bought my 400 he didn't have a thermostat and that was the cause of the sludge in my cover valve and on rocker arm. Good luck with your build!
