red/green wire to regulator burnt
i am having a problem getting my alternator to charge the battery, in my 73 f350. the bat, solenoid, alt, and voltage regulator are new. the light green/red stripe wire that i think goes from the i terminal to the ignition switch is burnt to a crisp. shall i just replace the wire and bypass the resistor at the ignition switch or can i get a new resistor? is that wire needed to charge the battery? any help appreciated.:-huh
