Wrote my car off 3 weeks ago so it's time to get the pig back on the road... New batteries, stereo, amps speakers and subwoofer, 2 new power window motors and 2 new driveshafts...

New licenses plates and a wash and wax and it's on the road again after a 8 year hiatus! :D

Black is just such a perfect color on these trucks.

Used it to drive out of a campsite after a decent overnight snow. All was well until I made the rookie move of turning hard right with tire spin, on some rocks. SNAP! Lost passenger side outer u-joint & both shafts. A friend tugged me through the rest of the rock field, rear chains got me the rest of the way on the less challenging trail. The rock section was easy when dry, but it snowed over night, and the rocks were ice covered. I missed the good line after the rear end slipped sideways, and things got a little dicey. There was a nice sunset in the blowing snow afterwards...

I have a spare stub shaft, but need a u-joint & mid shaft. RockAuto has a 1541 alloy shaft available, might go that route as it's not especially pricey. I'm not typically so careless off road, but it was only a matter of time I suppose.

I aired up the tires, and made a mental list of everthing I need to fix. This thing has sat for 3 years.

Nothing too fun for me. Bled the brakes and replaced a bad tail light socket.

Finally got the rear tank up and running. 37 gallons of pure wallet draining capacity. I had put in a new fuel pump. Worked great. Pinched the gasket when lock ring was not all the way down and i put lines on. It slipped and pinched enough to where i got a waterfall of gas on the first fill. That was 2 months ago.

Visited the girl's parent's ranch. Me, her dad and brother lifted off the bed, installed a new gasket.

PRO TIP: used a little Lucas Red and Tacky on the tank side groove per my girl's dad who has been a mechanic and welder his whole life. Says it prevents any rolling/pinching during final locking of the lock ring. No leaks. Running wonderfully.

Picked it up and drove it to work after dropping my 2015 off for a windshield replacement.

Every time I drive it I enjoy it and figure on taking it out for a cruise once I'm done working evenings on my garage (changing shelving to accommodate a car restoration).

I worked on the cooling system this weekend.

My '94 F150 5.0 4x4 has been parked next to my house for 2 years. I a leaky water pump and parked it just after buying my house and getting married. I've finally got the new house, new wife chore list down to a manageable level and decided to get the '94 running again.

A few weeks ago I put a water pump on it but the battery was dead so I couldn't get the system filled and flushed. I found a place that sells refurb batteries and was able to get it running and cooling this weekend. I had a thermostat fail opened too so I also got that replaced this weekend. I need to finish flushing it before it freezes this weekend and I should be able to drive it. Oil change and brakes are in her future also.

I was super stoked to get her running again. Sounds great, no lights, no leaks.

Trying to set aside some time to do my manual swap, but I just can't find said time.

Need to get around to swap the FSV too, but I haven't even ordered it yet; don't thinking cleaning it out is actually going to work to prevent spillover from the rear tank to the front.

I finally got the new trailer light receptacle hooked up and working. Took me awhile to find one like the original. Planning on installing rear shocks tomorrow. Front shocks already on.

Getting a little deeper into it.
