OK, still have the '70 available. Not entirely sure why, but I think it's because he's had too many other "gotta move" cars to pick-up.

Picking up a '79 4x4 F150 tomorrow, 351M 2bbl that leaks water and was probably over-heated, C6.

I =think= we're also getting a running 360 out of '72.

Gotta move it, don't have room for it, let me know in the next couple days if there's ANY interest in anything.

Hows the c6 in the 79? know if it drives or what?

IowaTower 07-15-2007 08:59 PM

The guy said the drivetrain was fine -- he drove it quite a bit with coolant leaking before parking it when he acquired another one.

Ok my turn to add something for sale on here. Due to some things at home I am selling the ranger. Now the motor is already sold, but I am selling the rolling chassis minus motor and trans, ignition and fuel system. but includes radiator and that stuff. so what do you have is a gutted out 88 ranger body, on a shortened down 77 F150 frame, front suspension is mostly setup like stock F150 with good coils, rear suspension is using QA1 coilovers, and 48" ladder bars (built by me). the cab has a 10 pt roll cage and lexan windows, will include 2 summit racing poly racing seats and harnesses, has a autometer shift light tack, and autometer phantom gauges for temp, oil preasure, oil and trans temp and volts as well as a moroso switch panel. paint is basically a 50 ftpaint job and is really Krylon so easy to get touch up paint for, you can look in my gallery to see whats been done. Radiator is a C&R 4" thick alum radiator and is out of a nascar cup car.
Diffs are 9" rear with a strange nodular carrier, Alum Daytona pinion support, billet 1350 yoke, billet steel 31 spline drag spool, and superior chromo 31 spline axles. also has polished motive AX gearset 4.63 gear ratio. Front is 4.09 ratio, open diff for right now (have a spool to go with it) with yukon 4340 moly axles, and spicer ujoints.
also included is the tires, fronts are 34/35-15 boggers mounted on 15x10 American racing rims. rears are 39.5x18.5-15 cut boggers on convo pro rims 15x12.
This is a power steering truck and that whole setup will be included, and the steering dampener is also included. Also the spanner wrenches for the coilovers will be thrown in. the trans cooler is included if youwant it, and the batteries and all wiring will stay with teh truck (2 1yr old group 31 interstate batteries) also it still has the NP205 tcase and driveshafts in it and the adaptor for the C6.
Looking to get $5000 out of it, might talk some on certian trades (nothing special in mind so ask) will include the fuel system and ignition for an additional $800 if you want it.
PM me if interested and if you want videos you can find them at
http://videos.streetfire.net/video/0...46001d8569.htm

if this doesnt sell pretty soon I will be putting the rolling chassis on evilbay and if not sell on there it most likely be parted out as I can get well over my asking price in parts

johaner78 07-30-2007 07:58 PM

chrono4, i have a good C6 here as well as a 400 Four Star engine with ~11,xxx actual miles on it. All came out of a '78 F150 4x4 that i've parted out.

chrono4 07-30-2007 09:06 PM

IOWA TOWER--- whats the word on that 79 4x4?? dont really need it, just hate to see it go to the crusher.

chrono4 08-07-2007 01:32 PM

looking for body parts to a 86 ranger. In need of doors, pass fender and bed. Also, anybody near burlington have a mig that I could zip some exhaust pipe together with?

390fe 08-13-2007 08:17 AM

I've still got that 335/385 series C6 tranny that needs a new home. I'm open to offers and/or trade proposals. I'll be in Des Moines this Thursday from Creston, and I'll be heading towards Chariton in the next few weeks.

Also, I've got a 360 crank, rods, and pistons up for grabs.

monsterbaby 08-13-2007 10:39 AM

jason without looking is that a 2wd or 4wd trans, what do you know about it and what do you need to have. Also why and when you going to be in Chariton maybe meet up and have lunch and BS or whatever if I am around.

390fe 08-13-2007 12:59 PM

Sorry, it's a 2wd tranny. When I bought my '78 F150, there was an extra tranny in the box, to replace the one under the truck. Supposedly the guys at the salvage yard said it was a good transmission. I pulled the tranny from the box and it's been stored in my garage since. It has the dipstick and tube, and a converter.

For all I know, it could be nothing more than a rebuildable core, or it may operate flawlessly.

My aunt lives in Chariton, for a few more weeks, and I need to pick up some furniture. I'm not positive of the date we'll be there, but when I know, I'll let you know.

I'd swap for body parts for a '67 to '72 F100. Or FE parts, except 360 crank and rods... I could use a small port 4bbl manifold, Holley carb parts, 4.11 gear set, or a radiator. I'm pretty open to trades. :-)

fellro86 08-13-2007 01:02 PM

Are you looking for the cast iron FE 4 bbl intake? If so, swing by. What 67 72 parts you looking for? May be able to help you out there as well. I'm near the Amana colonies... My wife will be going back to class in about a week in Waterloo, if that helps out. Let me know and we'll work something out.

wyldstallyn73 08-15-2007 02:55 AM

Monster, do you need a 4x4 C-6 tranny??? cuz I gots em.
