Cleaning barrels

Hey all, just got a nice steel 55 gallon drum for my processor and trying to figure the best way to clean it. It used to hold honey.

I've read some people say throw a couple gallons of bio in it because it cuts grease so well, read some people say to toss lye/water in it.

What do you all think? I don't have any bio made and the local pump is down due to the plant in ohio blowing up. I have a couple gallons of simple green sitting here that i doubt i'll ever use, i thought about throwing that in there then rinsing.

Any suggestions?

Pillsbury...Grands...biscuits that is. Bake 11-14 minutes, place on tent pole, swab the honey from the barrel. Enjoy.

I ended up using the simple green. I drained off as much as i could, cut out the bottom (I needed to anyway), sprayed the simple green in a few times and it cut it pretty good. It's supposed to warm up tomorrow so I'll crack out the pressure washer and hose it out.

I'm excited, on my way to finally getting the processor together, welded in the bung for the heating element, once the barrels clean i can weld the cone to it and build the stand for it.
