Most manuals record the 400 at 570 lbs. It negated to say if that was with accessories or not. However, does anyone have a weight for a 400 with an aluminum intake, iron heads, starter, alternator, waterpump, and crank pulley?

Thanks,

"D"

First of all <>
There is not an M after the 400.

It's the 351M Not the 400.

Check the engine sticker it says : 351M/400

The 400 weighs about 650lb complete

Go here for ACTUAL FORD FACTORY WEIGHT DATA!!! Amazing!!!

http://home.earthlink.net/~tcrocker/FordEngineWeightsV1.xls

Look at the Weight Compare 1 tab, and see the actual 6007 assembly weight info. It is as yet unclear what a 6007 assembly entails exactly, but if you look through the other tabs you can get an idea. It does include flexplate, exhaust manifolds, carb, accessories. Anyway, take that basic figure (596), and subtract for all your mods.
