Sad Day for NC

Another sad day for the Fire Service. This time out of Salisbury NC, I have lost three of my fellow brother fire fighters, please pray for them and the families. One was only 19.

Prayers from Louisiana. It takes a special breed of men to be firefighters.

Our prayers from Arkansas. I am a paramedic and volunteer firefighter. This stuff strikes close to our hearts.

A sad day indeed, my prayers go out to their friends and family. Talk about hitting close to home, Victor Isler was stationed in a department about 30 minutes west of mine back in NY. They say he was also at ground zero which has had me thinking we may have worked along side each other at some point.

Is it just me or have there been alot more LODD in the last year? It seems like every other week another horrible story makes the news.

Rest in peace my brothers

A FIREFIGHTER'S
PRAYER
</sup>

<tt>When I am called to duty, God
Whenever flames may rage,
Give me the strength to save some life
Whatever be its age,
Help me embrace a little child
Before it is too late
Or save an older person from
The horror of that fate
Enable me to be alert and
Hear the weakest shout
And quickly and efficiently
To put the fire out
I want to fill my calling and
To give the best in me,
To guard my every neighbor and
Protect his property
And if according to my fate
I am to lose my life,
Please bless with your
protecting hand
My children and my wife.
